Our researchers pursue basic science discovery and technology development to enable the biomanufacturing of fuels, chemicals, and materials. Some areas of expertise include: metabolic pathway engineering, biosensor development, microbial community manipulation, and computer-aided design.

 

 

Petzold uses bioanalytical and biophysical techniques to further rational design and optimization of novel metabolic pathways in microbes for a wide variety applications.
