Research Interests
My research focuses on employing multi-dimensional solid-state NMR to reveal the molecular architecture of native plant cell walls and monitor the effects of metabolic engineering on the architecture of native cell walls. This information will be used to understand the interactions and functional role of cell wall polymers contributing to the overall recalcitrance, and to support predictive design for cleaner and easier deconstructive cell walls.
